Gothenburg is a city on the west-coast of Sweden with a population of around 500.000, making it the second largest city in Sweden. The closeness to the harbor and the sea is what people usually value highly. Everybody talks about “the small big town” where everything is close. The city is used to happenings and events and that also makes it used to taking care of visitors. Most tourist attractions are within walking distance. You will most certainly feel welcome here. The city is about 300 kilometers away from each of the Scandinavian capitals Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, and is at the very centre of northern Europe. The city has two universities, University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology together with about 60.000 students.

FAST-zero 2015 Symposium will take place at Chalmers Conference Centre, which is located close to the city centre.
